World of Whittier
Fair 2006
Whittier Neighbors is a
membership organization founded in 1996 serving the Whittier
Neighborhood of Minneapolis. Our goals include:
Community
Building - WN employs strategies to build a sense
of community and belonging through regular, informal meetings; and other
events.
Outreach - WN publishes a
newsletter and distributes it as widely and in as many languages as possible.
Leadership Development - WN
sponsors leadership development training and opportunities for existing and
emerging neighborhood activists.
Civic Engagement - WN sponsors
activities that bring people into direct, meaningful contact with the
decision-makers.
